IIST Admission 2014:

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) has announced the notification of IIST Admission 2014 Application Form for B.Tech programs to fill up 156 seats.

Candidates have to qualify in both JEE Main 2014 and JEE Advanced 2014 to be eligible for admissions to the B.Tech programmes at the institute.

Application forms will be invited in the month of May 2014 from all eligible and talented.

IIST B.Tech 2014 Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Age limit:
  • Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1989 (SC/ST and PD Candidates must have born on or after October 1, 1984).
  • The date of birth as recorded in the high school/first Board /or its equivalent will be accepted.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
  • SC/ST/PD must have 60% marks min.
Selection Procedure:

Candidates must appear for the JEE Main 2014 conducted by the CBSE and qualify to appear for JEE Advanced 2014 conducted by IITs.

They must secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE (Advanced)-2014 as mentioned below.
  • General Aspirants: A minimum of 20% marks in aggregate and a minimum of 5% marks in each of the three subjects of PCM.
  • OBC-NCL Candidates: A minimum of 18% marks in aggregate and 4.5% marks in each of the three subjects of PCM.
  • SC / ST & Persons with Disabilities Person: A minimum of 10% marks in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks in each of the three subjects (PCM).
