Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur has announced the exam dates for Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET), which will be conducted in May 2016. The HPCETwill be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 and Sunday, May 15, 2016.
HPCET is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Technology
(B.Tech) direct entry, Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), B.Pharm
(Ayurveda), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer
Applications (MCA), Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Pharmacy
(M.Pharm) programs for the session 2016.
Eligibility Criteria for HPCET 2016:
- For B.Tech Program: Candidates should have 10+2 passed/appeared in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or its equivalent.
- Candidates should have 10+2 passed/appeared in PCM/PCB for B.Pharm (direct entry) and candidates should have 10+2 passed/appeared in PCB for B.Pharm Ayurveda programs.
- For M.Tech Program: Candidates should have recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field at the qualifying examination.
- For MBA Program: Candidates should have recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration at the qualifying examination.
- For MCA Program: Candidates should have recognised bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduation level.
Application Procedure for HPCET 2016:
Candidates can apply online from Wednesday, March 02, 2016.
Paper Pattern for HPCET 2016:
- The entrance test for each program shall be conducted in single offline (pen and paper based test) mode
- All questions shall be objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers. The candidate will have to choose one correct answer only.
- Each correct answer fetches 2 (two) marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 0.5 mark. No marks shall be awarded for questions not attempted.
