IIIT-H PGEE 2016 Exam Dates

International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad has announced the exam dates for Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE), which will be conducted in April 2016. The PGEE will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016.

PGEE is conducted for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Information Security, VLSI & Computer Engineering, Computer Aided Structural Engineering and Bioinformatics, Master of Science (M.S) by research in Computer Science and Engineering (all areas), Electronics & Communication Engineering (all areas), Computational Linguistics, Civil Engineering (CE), Bioinformatics, Computational Natural Sciences (CNS), IT in Building Science and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), Computer Science and Engineering (all areas), Electronics & Communication Engineering (all areas), Computational Linguistics(For Computer Science, Science and engineering background), Civil Engineering (CE), Bioinformatics, Computational Natural Sciences (CNS), Spatial Informatics and Exact Humanities programs for the session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for IIIT-H PGEE 2016:

• For M.Tech Programs: Candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2016) BE/B.Tech in Engineering (any branch including CS/IT/ ECE/ EEE/ Civil/ Instrumentation/ Biotechnology) or B.Arch. or master's degree in Science/ Maths/ IT/ Computer Science or MCA are eligible to apply.
• For M.S by Research Programs: Candidates who are eligible to apply for M.Tech program are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2016) M.E/M.Tech.
• For Ph.D Programs:
• Candidates who are eligible to apply for M.Tech program are also eligible to apply for Ph.D program.
• Candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2016) M.E/M.Tech.
• Candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2016) masters degree in Social Sciences or Humanities are eligible to apply only for Ph.D program in Spatial Informatics and Exact Humanities.

Application Procedure for IIIT-H PGEE 2016:

Paper Pattern for IIIT-H PGEE 2016:

• The entrance examination consists of two papers: (No negative marking)
  • Paper I: General aptitude paper-Objective
  • Paper II: Objective paper (Paper II)
• Paper II:
  • Mathematics Subjective
  • Computer Science Objective
  • Electronics and Communications Engineering (Objective and Subjective)
  • Structural Engineering (Subjective)
  • Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics Objective
  • Computational Linguistics
• Paper I (General Aptitude):
  • Objective Duration: 1 ½ hours
  • (Compulsory for everyone). This is objective type question paper and will emphasize on basic aptitude, logical reasoning, basic questions on computers and mathematics.
