The admission is made strictly through the Diploma Entrance Test (DET) followed by central counseling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T), Orissa for all Engineering Schools and Polytechnics in the state of Orissa for both regular and lateral entry students
Eligibility Details:
1. For admission to the 1st semester :
Pass or appearance in the 10th standard of Board of Secondary Education, Cuttack (Orissa) or any examination equivalent thereto. However, the candidates are required to produce their original documents along with original mark sheet of class 10th examination during counseling as mentioned in the admission brochure. Candidate
2. For admission into the 3rd semester under Lateral Admission (10% supernumerary seats):
Passed two year trade from ITI (after passing class 10th) or passed +2 Vocational Courses or passed ITI a kin trades with at least 60% marks.
Reservation :
Reservation to different categories as per norms specified by Government of Orissa will be applicable to the Orissa state candidates only as mentioned in the brochure.
Outside State candidates :
Outside State candidates are eligible for admission into the 1st semester of the 3 year Diploma course by appearing the Diploma Entrance Test (DET). A separate merit list will be drawn from all the outside State candidates and they will be considered for admission only after the merit list of Orissa State candidates of all categories is completely exhausted.
Outside State candidates are not eligible for Lateral admission into 3rd semester.
