JEE Main 2016 has been released on 1st December 2015. It is
a national level entrance test conducted for admission to Engineering,
Architecture and other technological courses offered by various government,
private and centrally funded institutions including the NITs and IIITs. JEE
(Joint Entrance Exam) is a two tier exam. The first stage is JEE Main, which is
gateway to the B.Tech courses offered by the institutes including NITs and
other state government & private engineering colleges. Beside this the
candidates who qualified the JEE Main would be eligible for the JEE Advanced
2016 entrance test which is a gateway for the B.Tech courses offered by the

JEE Main 2016 correction period has been over by 31st
January 2016.
Candidates may Download Acknowledgement Page from the
official site. The link has been provided on official portal. The last date of
JEE Main 2016 Online Application form submission was 11th January 2016.
JEE Main 2016 examination will be held on 3rd April 2016
(Pen Paper Based) and 9th-10th April 2016 (Computer Based Test).
Eligibility
The candidates are advised to read the following eligibility
criteria before applying the JEE Main 2016:
The general and
OBC candidates must born on or after 1st October 1991 and the SC/ST/PwD
candidates must born on or after 1st October 1986.
The candidates
must be passed or appearing the 12th or its equivalent examination from a
recognized board with PCM group with minimum 50%.
The Candidates
passed the 12th or its equivalent exam before 2014 will not be eligible for JEE
Main 2016.
Application Form
Before the application the candidates are suggested to get
the Information Bulletin from the official site of the board and read
carefully. The JEE Main application form 2016 are available online only through
the official website of the JEE Apex Board from 1st December 2015. There is no
other mode for applying except the online mode. The last date of the application
will be 11st December 2015.

JEE Main 2016
Correction
The board has been announced the period of correction in the
particulars of the application form during 21st to 31st January 2016. If any
candidate has committed the mistake in the application form like wrong personal
details, educational details, Left thumb impression for boys and girls (right
hand thumb in case the candidate do not
have left hand thumb or any
finger if both thumbs are not there) or any other (scanned photograph) can make
it correct carefully by visiting the official website (www.jeemain.nic.in) of
the JEE main. Remember that it is the last chance, so you need to be very
careful about that.
Pattern of
Examination
The JEE Main rank will be calculated with 40% weightage of
board marks and 60% weightage of JEE Main score as directed by MHRD.
JEE Main 2016 will be comprised in two papers. The
candidates seeking for the B.Tech/B.E must avail the paper 1 or the candidates
seeking for the B.Arch/B.Planning must avail the paper 2. For architecture
candidates must have a valid score card of NATA 2016. Candidates can apply for
the both papers. The paper 1 will be asked in objective type questions in
equally from the subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The paper 2
will be asked in three parts. The part one will comprise in objective type
questions in Mathematics subjects, part 2 will comprise in objective type
questions on aptitude skills and part three will comprise in drawing test.
Paper one will be held through both; computer based and pen
& paper base exam while paper two will be held through pen & paper
based exam mode only. Both papers will be stretched in the duration of 3 hours
each. The total question will be asked in paper 1 are 90 and each correct answer
will carry the 4 marks while each incorrect answer will be punished with 1
mark.

As per the last year details the states as Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland & Odisha had
participated in JEE Exam. The students seeking the admission in these states
are advised to fill the JEE Main 2016 application form through online. These
states were earlier admitting on the basis of state level entrance test.
Counselling
Procedure
After the result announcement, JEE Main Counselling 2016
will commence from the 1st of July, 2016. It will be organized by the Joint
Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board). The
counselling will be organized through online process. From registration process
to locking choices all process will done online. Candidate will participate in
the counselling process from the official website of JoSAA and CSAB.
Counselling has been divided into four rounds, first three rounds will be
organized by JoSAA and fourth round which is a special counselling round will
be conducted by CSAB.
