Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore (BIT) ) is located in the Bangalore City. The institution came into force in August, 1979. The institute offers the B.E. Degreein various fields like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, CS, IT, TC, IS and Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Management. Bangalore Institute of Technology has always been at the modern technology and is credited with the introduction of first full-fledged COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING degree. Thus, the B.I.T has identified future growth areas and various courses over the years. At present B.I.T offers Nine UG, Six PG and research centers in all disciplines for carrying PhD degree, with student strength of more than 4000. BIT believs strongly in the motto “Technology for Prosperity” the college has seen phenomenal growth in the last three and a half decades bringing innovation to every road we have travelled. Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is hosted in a small campus which is cluttered with numerous buildings like the ones for Bangalore Institute of Technology itself, VS Dental College, VV Puram College of Science and College of Law.

Bangalore Institute of Technology The boys’ hostel is on campus while the girls’ hostel is about 2kms.Students hold mixed opinions about the hostels. However, they unanimously agree that the timings are too strict and the food is intolerable. Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is pretty chilled out about attendance issues and rarely does a serious case related attendance crop up. Above 85% attendance is recommended by the college but students get away with a mere 50% as well after paying nominal fines (Rs. 100/- for each subject).
