Eligibility Criteria for SLIET 2015

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology provides admission into many courses like certificates courses, Diploma courses, Under-graduate courses, and Research based courses. The eligibility criteria for each course is different. The candidate applying for any of the exam must satisfy the eligibility criteria of the course applying for, not only the academic eligibility criteria but also the age criteria of the program. The course wise eligibility criteria is as under –

Eligibility for 3 year Integrated Certificate Diploma programme:

For SLIET Entrance Test I and SLIET Entrance Test I A the eligibility criteria is –

• The candidate must be 10th pass with English, Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects from a State Education Board / CBSE / ICSE / National Open School or an equivalent exam
• The candidate appearing for their qualifying exam are also eligible to apply provided they show the proof or result of qualification at the time of admission
• And for admission in lateral entry i.e. SLIET IA the candidate must have passed in 10thexams and also must have passed full time 2 years ITI/Certificate/10+2 (vocational) in relevant field with 50% marks(45% for reserved categories) from any recognized board/institute or equivalent
• The candidate must not be less than 16 years of age on before 1 January, 2015 or before the time of admission

Eligibility for 2 year Diploma programme:

The admission to 2 year diploma programme through SLIET Entrance Test II is only for certificate students of SLIET institute admitted in the year 2013

• The candidate must have secured 50% marks in the relevant field of the qualifying exam
• The minimum marks is 45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories
• The candidate must be clear passed in all subjects of the qualifying exam i.e. there should be no backlog exam left

Eligibility for B.E. programmes (Lateral Entry):

For SLIET Entrance Test III the eligibility criteria for admission are:

• The candidate who have completed their diploma course in any discipline from SLIET or any other recognized institute affiliated with State Board of Technical Education or All India Council for Technical Education
• The minimum marks scored must not be less than 55% and 50% for SC/ ST categories
• Those who are appearing in the final exam are also eligible for applying

Eligibility for Ph.D. programme:

The eligibility criteria for SLIET Entrance Test V is as under –

• The candidate must have completed the Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with minimum 60% (55% marks for reserved categories candidates)
• The candidates must have completed master’s degree in the Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Humanities/ Management with 60% marks (55% in case of reserved categories candidates)

Reservation Criteria for SLIET Entrance Test 2015

The reservation of seats will only be in the direct entry seats for admission to Integrated Certificate-Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering / Post-graduate/Ph.D. programmes and the seats reservation is given as under –
