KEAM-CEE- Kerala (B Tech) 2016

WBJEE 2016 - West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct WBJEE 2016 on May 17, 2016, for admissions to undergraduate courses in medical and engineering streams at universities, government colleges and self-financed institutes in West Bengal for academic session 2016-2017. For admission to any degree course in Engineering/Technology, securing a rank in the WBJEE 2016 is mandatory. However, self-financed institutions may also admit candidates on the basis of merit listed in the all India common entrance test, viz. JEE Main 2016.

WBJEE 2016 Syllabus:
WBJEE 2016 Syllabus for Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics will be published by WBJEE Board later. As of now, aspirants can check below some of the important topics covered under syllabus of these subjects for the exam held in 2015-

WBJEE 2016 Exam Pattern:
  • Questions will be based on the syllabus for WBJEE 2016. The syllabus will be same as that of last year.
  • In every subject, all questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against each of the questions. The answer(s) to each of the questions has to be marked on the OMR sheet.
  • Questions will be of three categories, divided as per following table-

WBJEE 2016 Sample Papers:
Sample Papers of WBJEE 2016 will provide practice material to candidates, who will be appearing in this entrance exam. Students can practise questions of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as per the syllabus in their convenient time. With these model papers, they can prepare in a better manner by applying their time management skills. WBJEE 2016 Practice Papers of previous years can be downloaded in pdf format by aspirants.

WBJEE 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
  • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates must be at least seventeen years of age as on December 31, 2016 for Engineering / Technology (other than Marine Engineering) courses. There is no upper age limit.
  • Candidates must be at least seventeen (17) years of age or above as on December 31, 2016 and must not be above twenty five (25) years of age as on July 31, 2016 for Marine engineering course.
  • Candidates seeking admission to Government engineering/technology colleges, reserve category seats of any institution, including TFW category seats must be domicile of West Bengal.
  • They must have passed higher secondary (10+2) examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Educationor equivalent examination from a recognized council/board.
WBJEE 2016 Exam Centres:
Exam Centres of WBJEE 2016 brings the list of cities where the exam will be held. In 2015, WBJEE was held across various cities of West Bengal. Besides that, the entrance exam was held across Tripura, Agartala, Assam and Silchar. The candidates may not be allocated in their first choice zone, if sufficient candidates are not available. In such case, the 2nd choice/ 3rd choice of zone would be allocated to the concerned candidates.

WBJEE 2016 Admit Card:
Admit Card of WBJEE 2016 is available online for download from May 3. For each applicant, WBJEE 2016 Admit Card will be generated indicating the allotted examination centre. An examination roll number will also be generated for each candidate. He/she has to download the soft copy of the hall ticket and has to appear in the examination with a printed hard copy at the concerned examination centre indicated in the downloaded admit card.
