Aurora's Scientific Technological and Research Academy, Hyderabad was established in 2000 by the Ravi Rishi Educational Society. Previously it was called as Santh Samarth Engineering College.This is done with a view to enhance the quality of educational activities in the institute. As a result of this, the institute can boast of a very percentage of staff with Post Graduate and Ph.D. qualifications.The Ravi Rishi Educational Society is dedicated to the cause of promotion of quality education. It is registered in the form of a Public Society, and has representation from various related segments of the society, e.g., educationists, technical specialists, administrators, social workers etc. to ensure overall healthy development of the activities undertaken. It is basically a Marati linguistic minority society established in the year 1992 by its promoters Shri. Ramesh Babu and Smt.he Ravi Rishi Educational Society is the first of its kind to be established as a private unaided linguistic minority educational society in the state of Andhra Pradesh in promoting professional education. It started to serve the Marati community with its first educational institution namely the Haindhavi Degree College in the year 1993 with computer science and commerce courses. It expanded its wings wit the establishment of its first post graduate college namely, the Haindhavi PG College in the year 1998 with MCA department.

From the desk of the Director Aurora’s Scientific and Technological Research Academy, since the inception in 2001, has steadily grown from strength-to-strength and today is recognized across Hyderabad and beyond for its excellence in infra-structure and instruction. We offer graduate program in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and civil Engineering post-graduate program in VLSI & Management, Business Administration, and Computer Application. More than 2000 graduate and post-graduate students are being groomed here to excel in their area of specialization. Our alumni have been well accepted by both Public sector and Private sector companies, and many are holding important positions in them. The introduction of post-graduate program has given impetus for research and innovation.Our excellence in academics and related area has been recognized by NAAC by according accreditation to our Institute. Corporate world have also taken note of our efforts and good work. Co-curricular activities are given due importance at ASTRA. We have student chapters of IETE , IEEE and CSI. We also have various department and institute level societies and clubs to encourage students to look beyond the examination-centric learning, to explore and innovate, and to be life-long learners.

About ASTRA M.E/M.Tech Course :-

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field. This is generally a 2-years for  specialization program in a specific branch of engineering or a technical field. ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.

About ASTRA BCA Course :-

BCA(Bachelor of Computer Applications) is a 3-year undergraduate programme. It is extended over six semesters. The course is designed to bridge the gap between IT industries and institutes by incorporating the latest developments into the curriculum.

Admission Details of ASTRA Hyderabad :-

A candidate who has passed the 10+2 examination of the University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission to the course, provided he/she has secured at least 50% of the marks in the aggregate. In the case SC/ST students this percentage of marks shall be at least 45%. However candidates who are deputed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to the course are exempted from the above (II a) eligibility condition.
