About College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur
College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur was established in 1964 by offering undergraduate course in Agricultural Engineering. It had its beginning in the Rajasthan College of Agriculture and shifted to its present premises on new campus of the university in 1968. Academic and physical facilitates of Udaipur Polytechnic was also transferred by state government to the college in 1975-76. The college also offers post graduate programs in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Irrigation Water Management Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Processing and Food Engineering and Renewable Energy Sources Engineering.
The College of Technology and Engineering offers undergraduate course in Agricultural Engineering. It had its beginning in the Rajasthan College of Agriculture and shifted to its present premises on new campus of the University. All degree programmes have been approved from AICTE. The admissions to the degree programmes are made through State level Pre Engineering Test(RPETEAP) and All India Engineering Entrance Examination(AIEEE). Fifteen per cent seats in Agricultural Engineering are also filled up through ICAR.The college is located at a distance of about 7 km from Udaipur city railway station and bus terminal and about 2 km from Rana Pratap Nagar railway station. It is accessible by a by-pass road branching near Pratapnagar from the national highway no. 76 leading to Chittorgarh.

Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
