Admission Procedure at Vivekananda Institute of Technology

For BTECH:

• The student should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects.
• Along with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects.
• In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B).
• The minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

For MBA:

Admission to MBA, course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree with not less than fifty percent i.e. integer 50% (rounding – off aggregate percent is not permitted) of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. In the case candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Cat-1, the aggregate percent of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than forty five percent i.e. integer 45% (rounding –off aggregate percent is not permitted).
