Who can apply – The eligibility criteria
Students appearing for JEE advanced 2015 have to qualify JEE Main 2015
- Top 1,50,000 candidates (including all the categories) will be declared qualified based on their scores in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2015.
- Only JEE Main 2015 Qualified candidates will be eligible to register for JEE Advanced 2015.
- JEE Main 2015 Result will be declared by April 27, 2015
Date of Birth
Note- Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will only be considered.

- Candidates who appeared in their Qualifying Examination (QE) in 2013 or earlier (irrespective of whether they passed or failed) are NOT ELIGIBLE.
- Candidates who attempted IIT JEE in 2013 or earlier, are also NOT ELIGIBLEto appear in JEE Advanced 2015.
Number of Attempts
- A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced 2015 a maximum of two times and that too, in consecutive years.

- Eligible candidates who did not opt for appearing in JEE Advanced 2015 while applying for JEE Main 2015, can also register for JEE Advanced 2015 before 5 PM, May 7 2015
Important- While registering for JEE Advanced 2015, candidate need to provide the following information (as applicable) and also upload soft (scanned) copies of the relevant certificates:
- Year of First Attempt in JEE (Advanced)
- Choice of Examination City / Town (refer information bulletin)
- Choice of Language of Question Paper
- Entitlement of DS Category
- Requirement of Scribe (refer information bulletin)
Documents to be Uploaded for JEE Advanced 2015 Registration
- Colour Photograph: Original passport size photograph in JPEG format (preferably from digital camera)
- Signature: Legible scanned signature as a JPEG file
- Certificates: Soft copies of Date of Birth, Class 10 and Category and Sub-Category (PwD) certificate.
The registration procedure in details will be available on the JEE Advanced 2015online registration portal.
Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated acknowledgement slip after successful submission of data and payment of fees and keep the same in the safe custody for any future reference.
JEE Advanced 2015 admit card
- Students can download JEE Advanced admit card 2015 from May 9, 2015 from 10 a.m. to May 12, 2015 (5 p.m.)
- The student has to cerify the details on the admit card.
- If there is any discrepency in the admit card then the rectification can be done from May 9, 2015 (10:15 a.m.) to May 14, 2015 (5 p.m.)

Selection process
Selection Process for JEE Advanced 2015
- Selection of candidates will be on the basis of All India Ranks calculated with the JEE advanced 2015 Scores.
- Candidates must score at least 10% in each subject and 35% in aggregate in order to be in the common merit list.
- Separate merit list will be prepared for the reserved categories.
- JEE Advanced 2015 result will be declared on June 18, 2015 at 10 a.m.
Exam pattern
- JEE Advanced 2015 shall have two papers each of 3 hours each of thequestion papers will consist of three separate parts in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- The Question Paper will be in English or Hindi ( as per the choice of the student)
- Candidates should use Black Ball Point for answering the questions on the OMR Sheet.
- The questions will be of objective (multiple choice) type
- The questions are designed to test Comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
- In some sections, incorrect answers may be awarded with negative marks.

ITEMS PROHIBITED IN THE EXAMINATION HALL:
- Electronic devices like mobile phone, calculator, iPod, iPad etc. are NOT PERMITTED in JEE Advanced - 2014.
- Further, items like log table, abacus, slide rule, book, notebook, geometry box etc. and any other means of calculation are also strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
