About SHIATS 2015
- SHIATS is The Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (Earlier known as Allahabad Agricultural Institute) a premier and foremost Agricultural Institute established in 1910 in the form of a 'school of agriculture'.
- SHIATS is a Pen and Paper based test for Admission to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate agriculture programmes of SHIATS, Allahabad campus.
- SHIATS is one the most competitive national entrance exams in the country which makes the students eligible for admission in Undergraduate/ Postgraduate Programs/ B.Ed. B.P.Ed, M. Ed/ Engineering/ Management and Diploma Courses offered by this renowned institution.

- The SHIATS 2015 test will be conducted on the basis of prescribed syllabus by recognized Board for class 11 and class 12. SHIATS also accepts the score of ICAR 2015 for admission.

Academic Qualification for all Undergraduate Agriculture Courses
- Candidate should have passed class 12 with at least 50% marks for General candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST/
- Candidates appearing for Class 12 examination in 2015 are also eligible to apply but their admission will be provisional.
- They also have to submit documentary proof of successfully completing the examination at the time of counseling.
- Differently abled candidates as per their Qualifying Examination are eligible for admission to Undergraduate Programmes.
Admission to ICAR Candidates: For the academic programmes in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Allied Sciences, fifteen percent (15%) seats in Undergraduate Programmes will be filled through All India Entrance Test conducted by ICAR, New Delhi. However, 85% seats in Undergraduate shall be filled through SHIATS 2015 entrance test conducted by the SHIATS scheduled for June 03, 2015

A common Application Form is applicable for all academic programmes irrespective of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, B.Ed. B.P.Ed, M. Ed and Diploma for admission through Entrance Test or Direct Interview (excluding Ph.D).
Candidates can fill the SHIATS 2015 Application Form via three modes discussed below:
Mode 1: Online Application Form
- Candidates can fill the SHIATS Application form online available on the University website. >> Click here to apply online
- Last date for applying On-line Form is May 20, 2015.
- Once the form is successfully filled Online, a challan will be generated for Rs. 1200 for UG & PG Programmes
SHIATS 2015 Online Application Fees Remittance
Mode 1: Bank Challan: Candidates can have to deposit the fees along with the challan generated at tthe PNB Bank or at Axis Bank branches PAN India
Mode 2: Net Banking: Candidates can also pay the fees through SBI Net Banking (SBI Collect) by way of Debit / Credit Card etc.,
Submission of Fee Challan (if done via Bank Challan)
Candidates have to send the office copy of the challan with their photograph duly affixed on it to the below mentioned address positively by May 25, 2015.

Mode 2: By Sending a Request to the University
Candidates can obtain the Prospectus and Application Form by sending a crossed bank draft for Rs. 450 (i.e. Rs.400 for Prospectus & Application Forms and Rs.50 for postal charges) or $30.00 in favour of the Registrar, Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences, Allahabad by registered post.
Mode 3: On Cash payment from University Fee Counter
Candidates can also buy the Prospectus and Application Form on cash payment of Rs. 400 (i.e. Rs.400 for Prospectus & Application Forms) from the University Fee Counter on any working day from Monday to Friday between 09:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.
Submission of Application Form
The duly filled in SHIATS 2015 Application Forms, accompanied with an Account Payee Bank Draft of prescribed Entrance Test/ Direct Interview Fee in favour of SHIATS, payable at Allahabad or a University cash receipt of the aforesaid amount must reach on or before May 12, 2015

SHIATS 2015 Selection process
- SHIATS Allahabad Admission will be made purely on the basis of
- The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on theSHIATS 2015 score obtained by the candidate in the SHIATS Entrance Test/ Direct Interview 2015.
- Their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in Class 12 examination.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared for each category (Christian & General) based on the total marks obtained by the candidate in the Entrance Test for the purpose of admission.
- Candidates selected for admission into various academic programmes offered by the University are considered as full time regular students.
Selection through ICAR
Fifteen percent seats in Undergraduate Programme & 25% Seats in PG Programmes in Agricultural and allied subjects will be allotted through ICAR 2015, All India Entrance Test Conducted by ICAR, New Delhi.
SHIATS Counselling
- Counselling of candidates as per the ranking in each category (Christian & General) will be done for admission to various Undergraduate Programmes.
- Information regarding date & time of counseling will be given on the official website later.
- Candidates will have to download their call letter for the counseling from University website.

SHIATS Scholarships
- Eligible Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Minority/General of Uttar Pradesh are given Scholarship by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh as per G.O. No. 641/64-2- 2013 dated December 2, 2013.
- Eligible candidates of OBC / General are also be given Scholarship by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh as per G.O. No. 641/64-2-2013 dated December 2, 2013.

- Income Certificate
- Annual Income of the Parents should be less than rupees two lakh for OBC / General / Minority / SC / ST.
