The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will accept online applications for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2016) from
aspiring students, who are looking admissions to professional courses
for academic session 2016-17 from today, i.e. Wednesday, January 13,
2016.
Candidates can apply for KCET 2016 entrance examination through online from Wednesday, January 13, 2016 to Saturday, February 13, 2016 on the official website of the Karnataka Examinations Authority.
KCET 2016 will be held on Wednesday, May 04, 2016 (Biology & Mathematics papers) and Thursday, May 05, 2016 (Physics & Chemistry papers). The Kannada examination for Horanadu and Gadinadu students will be held on Friday, May 06, 2016.
The KCET 2016 exam is scheduled for admissions to Medical, Dental,
Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturapathy and Yoga, Engineering, B.Sc
Agriculture, Sericulture, Forestry, Horticulture, B-Pharma and D-Pharma
courses for academic session 2016-17. The KCET is the gateway for taking
admissions into various undergraduate (UG) professional programs at
government, aided, private un-aidedminority/non-minority institutes in
the state of Karnataka.
Candidates
requested to carefully fill out details as the same will be used for
seat allotment and admissions. Candidates are not allowed to edit their
application after selecting declaration/ taking the final printout.
Candidates need to note down their application ID and password until
the completion of filling of the online application. Candidate has to
enter all the required details in the form, failing which their
application will not be considered. Applications without photo and
signature will not be considered as valid.
The last date for downloading the challan and deposit requisite amount in the bank account is Monday, February 15, 2016 and candidates can download the Hall Tickets from Friday, April 15, 2016. The Application fee for the general category is Rs 650 and Rs. 500 for those applying under the reserved categories.
