CUSAT CAT 2016 Exam Dates

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has announced the exam dates for CUSAT Common Admission Test (CUSAT-CAT), which will be conducted in April-May 2016. The CUSAT-CAT will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 and Sunday, May 01, 2016. CUSAT-CAT is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and PG programs for the academic year 2016.

 

Eligibility Criteria for CUSAT CAT 2016:

 

• For B.Tech Programs: Candidate should have passed in the plus two examination of the State of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto securing a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
• For LLM Program: Candidates should have bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 45% marks.
• For MBA Program: Candidates should have bachelor’s degree in any subject with 50% marks in aggregate.

Application Procedure for CUSAT CAT 2016:

 

Candidates can apply online from Wednesday, January 20, 2016.

 

Paper Pattern for CUSAT CAT 2016:

 

• For B.Tech and M.Sc Photonics Program: The test paper comprises of 250 objective type questions based on Plus Two syllabus in which 125 questions will be from Mathematics and 125 questions will be from Physics and Chemistry with physics to chemistry ratio maintained at 3:2. The duration of the test will be three hours.
• For Lateral entry to B.Tech Program: Admission the test paper comprises 200 objective type questions designed to test the proficiency in English (20 questions), Mathematics (50 questions), Engineering Mechanics (40 questions), Engineering Graphics (40 questions) and General Engineering (50 questions). The test shall be of 3 hours duration and the maximum marks will be 600.
• For B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Program: The test paper comprises 150 objective type questions designed to test the proficiency in General English (50 questions) ability in reasoning and logical thinking (50 questions) proficiency in General Knowledge and Current affairs (25 questions) and in law related matters (25 questions). The maximum marks will be 450.

• Online registration: Wednesday, January 20, 2016 to Monday, February 15, 2016.
• Remittance of fee at bank: Friday, January 22, 2016 to Monday, February 22, 2016.
• Downloading admit card: Thursday, April 15, 2016 to Sunday, May 01, 2016.
• Date of CUSAT-CAT:
  • For B.Tech programs: Saturday, April 30, 2016.
  • For PG programs: Sunday, May 01, 2016.
